Deep clean vs regular clean: what's the difference?

Not sure whether you need a deep clean or a regular clean? Here's exactly what each one covers, when to book which, and how they work together.

“Deep clean” and “regular clean” get used interchangeably, but they're different jobs. Knowing which you need saves money and gets the right result.

What a regular clean covers

A regular (maintenance) clean keeps an already-clean home fresh: kitchen and bathrooms wiped and sanitised, floors vacuumed and mopped, surfaces dusted, bins emptied. It's efficient because it's done often.

What a deep clean covers

A deep clean reaches what regular cleaning doesn't: inside the oven and appliances, limescale on tiles and taps, skirting boards, door frames, behind and under furniture, light fittings and window interiors. It takes longer and resets the home.

Which should you book?

Book a deep clean if it's been a while, you're moving in or out, prepping for an event, or starting a new cleaning plan. Choose a regular clean to maintain a home that's already in good shape.

They work best together

The ideal pattern for most homes: one deep clean to set the baseline, then regular visits to hold it. The maintenance cleans stay quick precisely because the deep clean did the heavy lifting.
